“Farah’s talk was a true highlight of the event. Her openness and insight left a lasting impact that participants were still discussing weeks later.”

Hello, I’m

I did something unexpected. I started in journalism at 17 and, after reaching the top as anchor of a national newscast, I walked away.

For 25 years, I had a front-row seat to history. Millions trusted me each night to explain tough moments. I interviewed prime ministers in crisis, CEOs under fire, and everyday people whose stories broke my heart. What struck me most was how quickly smart, well-meaning leaders lost trust—simply because they stopped being real.

At the same time, I saw trust in news crumble in real time. Now the same erosion is hitting workplaces. With AI, anyone can create the “perfect” response. But when people can’t tell what’s real, everything suffers—engagement, loyalty, innovation.

The answer isn’t more AI. It’s Authentic Intelligence: the human ability to build genuine connection in a synthetic world.

I’ve won awards, given a TEDx talk on humility, and served on boards from the Canadian Journalism Foundation to Plan Canada. I’ve also swallowed a bug on live TV (yes, really).

Titles aside, I’m a mom and a believer that being human is your biggest advantage.
